ABSTRACT

Pasote (Dysphania ambrosioides L.) is one of the medicinal plants used by the community, especially the North Sulawesi region as an TPCernative medicine to treat various diseases. In its processing, a drying process needs to be considered because it can affect the quality of simplisia. This study aims to obtain total plate count (TPC) and total mold yeast count (TMYC) test data of pasote simplisia dried by three drying methods, namely oven drying, drying cabinet and sun drying to be compared with the standards in BPOM Regulation No. 32 of 2019. The TPC test results of oven, drying cabinet and sun-dried pasote were 3.4 × 104; 2.6 × 105; and 2.9 × 105 CFU/g, respectively, and the TMYC test results were 2.4 × 104; 3.5 × 104; and 1.1 × 105 CFU/g, respectively. All TPC and TMYC test results are considered still qualified. Oven drying obtained the lowest results compared to drying cabinet and sun drying.
