ABSTRACT
Background: The Chitramanakku ilia chooranam is a mono herbal medicine used in the management of Ceganavatham (cervical spondylosis). Objective: This trial is focused to valuate the elemental and morphological portrayal of the Chitramanakku ilai chooranam. Materials and Methods: The components were gathered and cleaned, the medicine was formulated as per Siddha literature Siddha text vaithiya Rathinam Dr.K.S.Murugesa Muthaliar Gunapadam pagam-1(Mooligai vaguppu). It is bounded to protrayal through FT-IR research. Results: The FT-IR protrayal revealed the existence of functional groups such as C-Br stretch(alkylhalides), C-Br stretch (halo compound),-CH out of plane (aromatics), S=O stretch (sulfoxide), C-O stretch (alcohol), C=C stretch (alkene), C-H stretch (alkane), C-H stretch (alkyne) that cerfifies the therapeutic result of the medicine. Conclusion: The instrumental research FT-IR research for Chitramanakku ilai chooranam reveals the existence of functional groups through the extent and curve which is accountable for its functional effectiveness. The functional groups existing in Chitramanakku ilai chooranam have analgesic, anti arthritic functions that will assure the productiveness and therapeutic outcome of Chitramanakku ilai chooranam. This research holds the basement for the pharmaceutical investigationn of the Chitramanakku ilai chooranam.
