Questionnaires are essential tools in survey research, providing a structured approach to data collection. They become valuable instruments when properly constructed and administered among the target population. A questionnaire enables the researcher to collect information from a large group of people. This article outlines the detailed process of developing a questionnaire, from defining research objectives to reporting findings. Each step is designed to ensure the resulting instrument is valid, reliable, and effective in capturing the necessary data to address the research objectives. This research article elucidates the importance of adequate questions, appropriate question length, minimizing the time required to complete the questionnaire, correct ordering of questions, and appropriate scaling.
