A CASE STUDY OF MANAGEMENT OF BADHIRYA BY AYURVEDIC THERAPEUTIC PROCEDURES

ABSTRACT
Hearing is an inevitable sensory function for a stable human life. Thus, to maintain this stability it is inevitable for the sensory organ to perform well normally. In today’s society 70% of younger generation are suffering from the problems regarding hearing impairment. Exposure to loud noise, hearing loss at an early age have become the key factors promoting early senile hearing loss in patients. Hence it has become necessary for health professionals to identify the problem as early as possible. The aim was to assess the efficacy of Ayurvedic management procedures in the case hearing impairment. The estimated incidence of onset of hearing loss in adults in India is 7.6% and in children is 2%. The study was done on a senile male patient with hearing loss managed by Ayurvedic procedures like Nasya, Karnapoorana and Shirodhara.
