DRUG REVIEW OF VAANI KIRUTHAM IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ALATHIDU SANNI

ABSTRACT

The siddha system of medicine is one of the traditional medical system, providing preventive, promotive, curative, rejuvenative and rehabilitative health care by adopting scientific and holistic approach. Treatment procedure in siddha system of medicine help in normalizing the altered life factors. The drug review is about a polyherbal formulation called Vaani kirutham which chosen from the classical siddha literature Agathiyar Manakolam-Agathiyar Kanagamani 100. Alathidu sanni is one among condition which is coming under types of sanni and compared with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The drug review of the medicine explains about the morphology, family, chemical constituents and pharmacological actions of each ingredients. The main sources of the review was siddha text and resources from the databases collected from relevant journals. The main aim of the study is to scrutinize the chemical characters and action of the drug Vanni
Kirutham. Secondary aim is to spread consciousness about the drug.
