HERBAL REMEDIES FOR ANXIETY- SYSTEMATIC REVIEW ON HERBS EXHIBITING ANXIOLYTIC ACTIVITY AND THEIR PRECLINICAL EVIDENCE

ABSTRACT
Anxiety is a feeling described by an upsetting condition of inner turmoil, often accompanied by nervous behaviour, for example, pacing to and fro, somatic complaints and rumination. Because of adverse effect and damaging impacts of some medications, numerous patients favor natural prescriptions to treat anxiety. Despite the fact that there are key audit papers in the zone of medical plants and psychiatry issue, they have either covered the area in a generally quick way or concentrated on a particular plant medication. This review article aims to discuss the anxiolytic potential of some 15 herbals plants with their botanical name, family, chemical constituents, dose and the anxiolytic properties of those plants had been tested in the animal models.
