BIOCHEMICAL SCREENING OF PARANGI KASAYAM IN THE MANAGEMENT OF BALAR PAKKA VATHAM IN CHILDREN

ABSTRACT
The Siddha System is a very ancient system of medicine was known from the period of Greek medicine and it was mainly based on spirituality. It is usually accomplished in southern part of India especially in Tamil Nadu where Siddhars exists. The aim of this study was to evaluate the biochemical analysis of the trial medicine Parangi kasayam taken from Kumbamuni vatha nithanam-800 in the treatment of Balar pakka vatham (Infantile Hemiplegia) and its biochemical properties are analysed with standard procedures of biochemical test to prove the effectiveness of the herb used in the medicine for combined effect. This analysis helps to explore the properties of medicine in their usage in clinical study. It is concluded the presence of certain biochemical justify the better use of the medicine Parangi kasayam for Infantile Hemiplegia.
