AN OVERVIEW ON MEDICAL PERSPECTIVE OF DRY CUPPING THERAPY

ABSTRACT

Since antiquity, complementary and alternative therapies (CAM) have played a significant role in human health and well being. Many therapeutic methods to healthcare that are not part of orthodox medicine are still in use across the world. Cupping therapy is a type of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) that is widely practiced around the world. It is thought to work by correcting imbalances in the internal biofield. In this review, we primarily focus on dry cupping, a non-invasive technique that, if proven beneficial, can be readily incorporated into the toolbox of treatments for musculoskeletal conditions.
