Abstract

PREPARATION AND EVALUTION OF SIMPLE NATURAL MOSQUITO REPELLENT OINTMENT

ABSTRACT

The main objective of this work is Preparation of simple natural mosquito repellent ointment by using the ingredients like Citronella oil, coconut oil, clove oil, simple ointment base. The natural mosquito repellent ointment was Prepared by using the fusion method. Prepared natural ointment shown good results related to all parameters like PH, spread ability, homogenesity, weight, colour, smell, texture, rate of penetration, preservative efficacy. The chemical mosquito repellent ointments causes various common side effects to Skin and other organs that include skin irritation, allergic reactions or even respiratory problems. Natural mosquito repellents are considered as safe and Effective ointments without side Effects. So it concluded that Natural mosquito repellents are generally considered safe and natural mosquito repellent ointment is usually have pleasant scents derived from essential oils like citronella oil, coconut oil and clove oil, unlike the strong chemical smell of some products.
