ABSTRACT

The main objective of this study is to formulate and evaluate a polyherbal anti-inflammatory tablet for medicinal purposes. Cumin, Cinnamon, Turmeric and Cumin, dried powders were collected locally and mixed with HPMC and starch separately, then stored for subsequent use. Tablets were prepared following preformulation studies and were evaluated using parameters such as weight variation, hardness, friability, thickness, and disintegration time. These evaluations are crucial for ensuring the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of the polyherbal tablet as a potential treatment for inflammation. In the current landscape, herbal medicines have gained prominence in treatment due to their lower toxicity compared to allopathic medicines. In formulating tablets, Ginger, Cinnamon, Turmeric and Cumin dried powders were utilized. The results unequivocally affirm the excellence of the formulated polyherbal anti-inflammatory tablets and their evaluations. This underscores the potential of herbal medicine as a viable and effective alternative in managing inflammation-related conditions.

Keywords: Ginger, Turmeric, Cinnamon, Anti-inflammatory tablet, Polyherbal, Cumin, Disintegration time.
