LITERARY REVIEW OF JANU MARMA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO ACL INJURY

ABSTRACT
Ayurveda is a way of life as well as a medicinal science. One of the most significant and distinctive concepts in Ayurveda is Marma. The 107 essential spots in the body that Ayurveda describes are known as Marma. The science of marma deals with a certain crucial aspect that affects Asthi, Sandhi, Mamsa, Sira, and Snayu. One of them is Janu Marma which is situated between Jangha and Uru. This is the Sandhi Marma and Vaikalyakara Marna. Janu Marma injuries result in discomfort, pain, stiffness and functional abnormality in the knee area. The knee joint and Janu Marma are connected according to modern science. Knee joint damage from abnormal and excessive force results in ligament injuries. The present topic highlights the Janu Marma and it's traumatic effect ACL injury.
