ABSTRACT
To effectively manage migraines, it's important to evaluate treatment options and seek a personalised approach due to potential side effects and differing efficacy. This case report features two patients who experienced classic migraine headaches. The first responded to both abortive and preventative migraine drugs, while the second, with status migrainosus-like symptoms, responded to newer antimigraine treatments. We evaluated the strengths and shortcomings of current pharmacological treatments and suggestions. This case review shows how treatments for abortive and prophylactic therapy have evolved from earlier to newer drugs, including recently licenced calcitonin gene receptor protein monoclonal antibody inhibitors.
