ABSTRACT
The term "cosmetic" comes from the Greek term "kosmesticos," which means decoration. Cosmetics are defined as any substance designed to improve or enhance appearance. The word "cosmetic" is derived from the Latin term "cosmetae," which refers to female slaves who created cosmetics in classical Rome. Makeup originated in ancient Egypt, where rudimentary body and eye color cosmetics were employed. Today, both men and women utilize cosmetics to keep their skin looking young and attractive. The industry has expanded tremendously as people place more value on their beauty. Creams, lip balms, perfumes, eyeshadows, nail polish, and hair sprays are just a few of the cosmetic goods available to improve and protect your skin and hair.
