ABSTRACT
Menstrual cramps, medically termed dysmenorrhea, affect a significant portion of the female population, often leading to severe discomfort and disruption of daily activities. Conventional treatments, primarily analgesics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), often carry risks of side effects and long-term health Complications. This study aims to formulate and evaluate an essential oil blend for alleviating menstrual cramps using natural ingredients—Night Blooming Jasmine (Cestrum nocturnum) and Peppermint (Mentha piperita). The essential oils were extracted through steam distillation, ensuring the preservation of their bioactive compounds. The formulation process involved blending specific ratios of Night Blooming Jasmine and Peppermint essential oils to achieve optimal therapeutic efficacy. The blend was then incorporated into a topicalapplication medium, enhancing its ease of use and absorption through the skin.
