UNLOCKING THE THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL OF MANGIFERA INDICA: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF BOTANICAL, CHEMICAL, PHARMACOLOGICAL, AND HOMEOPATHIC INSIGHTS

ABSTRACT
Mangifera indica (MI), also known as aam in Hindi and mango in English, has been an important plant in the Homoeopathic system of medicine and for the past 4000 years as a part of indigenous medical systems.[1] Mangoes belong to the genus Mangifera and the family Anacardiaceae. Mangiferin has attracted considerable interest given its numerous pharmacological activities[2], including antitumor, immunomodulatory, antidiabetic[3], antibacterial[4], antiviral[5], antioxidative[6], anthelminthic, antiallergic[7], anti-HIV[8], and anti-inflammatory activity[9], an inducer of macrophage activation.[10] Mango trees are evergreen trees and can stand in dry periods. The different parts of Magnifera indica is used for medicinal uses throughout the world.[11]
