ABSTRACT
Traditionally, Rubus ellipticus (R. ellipticus) has been used as therapeutic agent. Various bioactive compounds present in the plant made it applicable for several medical and pharmaceutical applications. A wide literature is available on its constituents and biological activities. Today nanoparticles (NP’s) are well known for their enhanced properties and physicochemical applications. Some Rubus species have been used for the synthesis of different kinds of nanoparticles and studied for therapeutic applications. R. ellipticus has also been used to synthesize few nanoparticles and studied for its various possible applications but from Uttarakhand this plant in not investigated for nanoscience. This review article mainly summarizes nanoparticles synthesized from Rubus species.
Keywords: Green synthesis, phytochemicals, nanoparticles, ethnomedicine, therapeutic.
