Katara Anushka*, Ms. Suman Gehlot, Dr. Satyaendra Shrivastava
ABSTRACT
Recently, there has been a surge in interest in medicinal plants due to their numerous benefits. Cosmetics, which are composed of mixtures of chemical compounds derived from natural or synthetic sources, have also seen a trend towards incorporating natural ingredients. Beetroot (beta vulgaris L.) is one such plant with compounds that offer potential benefits for body health, skincare, and even food additives. In this study, the focus was on utilizing beetroot to prepare herbal blush. The formulation involved combining beetroot juice with ingredients such as Zinc Oxide, Talcum, Liquid Paraffin, Kaolin, and Isopropyl Myristate. Blush, a cosmetic product available in powder or cream form, is typically applied to the cheeks to add a natural-looking flush of color or for a more dramatic effect. Beyond adding color, blush can help soften facial features and give the cheeks a rounder, cherub-like Keywords: Beetroot. [Download Article] [Download Certifiate] |
