ABSTRACT
This study investigated the effectiveness of the natural indicators derived from Catharanthus roseus (commonly known as Madagascar periwinkle) in comparison to the synthetic indicator phenolphthalein in volumetric analysis. Indicators are vital in titration methods for detecting the endpoint, and the search for sustainable, eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic chemicals has led to increased interest in natural sources.
Keywords: Catharanthus roseus, acid base titration, natural indicator, Phenolphthalein.
