ABSTRACT
Introduction: DSR, QC, and QA. of herbal products remains a challenging task. There needs to be more than investigated screening parameters to validation, in order to authenticate and differentiate adulterants in medicinal plants. Tagetes erecta L. is one of the herbaceous plant which is used to treat various human ailments. This study aims to evaluate the DSR, QC, HPTLC, and GC-MS fingerprint profiles of the flower part of plant drug and extracts of T E. Methods: The QC and DSR with the Toxicology studies as heavy metal, aflatoxins, pesticide residues analysis, HPTLC and GC-MS analysis of the chloroform and ethanolic extract of T E. were carried out and performed using standard methods. The antibacterial potential, antimicrobial & antitoxicity effects of the tested drug samples of different microbes, hazardous and toxins were also investigated. Results: The DSR, QC. properties of T E. have shown that all the parameters were within the permissible limits. The HPTLC fingerprint profile of the chloroform and ethanolic extract exhibited various peaks Keywords: Tagetes erecta L., DSR, QC., and QA., HPTLC, and GC-MS profiles, Toxicology studies.
