ABSTRACT
One of the most significant medicinal plants is Solanum nigrum. Alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, steroids, carbohydrates, proteins, and amino acids are among the phytochemical components of Solanum nigrum hydroalcoholic extract (HAESN) that are analyzed in this study. The total tannin content, total phenolic content, and total flavonoid content of this leaves extract were determined using quantitative analysis. A herbal chromatogram was also obtained, and a thin layer chromatography investigation was conducted for this extract. Additionally, a TLC investigation revealed quercetin's presence in this extract. These components of phytochemistry are utilized in the treatment of numerous illnesses.
Keywords: Solanum nigrum, TLC study, Quercetin.
