ABSTRACT
Plant derived medicines are used to treat various disorder of human race. Currently, people are focussing in herbal drug because of their advantages. In traditional medicine, different parts of E. variegata have been used to produce nervine sedation, febrifuge, anti-asthmatic, and antiepileptic effects, and its leaves have been used for the treatment of patients with various conditions, such as liver trouble, convulsions, arthritis, etc. GC-MS, or Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, is an advanced analytical method utilized for discerning and quantifying the constituents within intricate blends of organic compounds. By amalgamating the separation capabilities of gas chromatography (GC) with the precise detection and characterization features of mass spectrometry (MS), GC-MS enables accurate identification and quantification of individual compounds present in complex mixtures. The ethanolic extract of Erythrina variegata was subjected to GC-MSanalysis for bio active compounds identification. There is enormous number of terpenoid was identified in our study.
