ABSTRACT
Ayurveda is based on its Fundamental principles. It is imperative that the core Ayurvedic concepts be practically applicable in the modern world. In Ayurveda, Gunas are described as the symbol for the Dravya's quality, without which Karma cannot exist. In order to make each Guna useful in therapeutic practice, Ayurveda has given them importance. Even if Chikitsa Chatushpada's are the best, one cannot succeed in therapeutics without correctly implementing Paradi Gunas, which is why Acharya Charaka has given the greatest significance to them. According to Acharya Charaka, understanding of Paradi Gunas is a prerequisite for Chikitsa Siddhi, or the effective management of illness.
Keywords: Guna, Paradi Guna, Chikitsa.
