Abstract

AN ASSESSMENT OF DEHA PRAKRUTI AND ITS RELATION WITH HEAMATOLOGICAL PARAMETERS IN POLICE WORKERS OF HASSAN DISTRICT

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda lays great emphasis on the examination of the Prakruthi which is the natural state of an individual. Because only by understanding the original state of the body function one can understand the possible derangement in thefunctioning. Depending on the predominant Dosha in the Sukra and Sonita at the time of union, determination of Prakruthi which is of seven types takes place. Blood is a connective tissue in fluid form. It carries oxygen from lungs to all parts of the body. Objective: To see the relation between dehaprakrati and haematalogical parameters. Material and Methods: A health check up camp for policemen working in Hassan district wasarranged at SDMCA & Hospital Hassan. 100 policemenwere considered for the present study. In the above subject Prakruti was assessed through the specialized prakruti assessment format. Their haematological parameters were estimated. Result: In Pitta Prakriti individual’shematological parameters like Hemoglobin (Hb%), and Red blood corpuscles (RBC)count are significantly on the higher sideof normal range in comparison to Vata and Kapha Prakriti. In Kapha prakrati individuals WBC s are on higher side compared to Vata pradhana prakrati. Conclusion: Out of 100 individuals 34 % belongs to Pitta pradhana, 27 were Kapha and 12 were of Vata pradhana prakrati There is relation between blood parameters and deha prakrati. In specific prakrati, specific results are seen.
