ABSTRACT
Inflammatory disorders pose a significant health challenge worldwide, necessitating innovative therapeutic approaches for effective management. Andrographolide, a bioactive compound derived from the Andrographis paniculata plant, has garnered attention for its potent anti-inflammatory properties. The utilization of transferosomes as a carrier system for andrographolide delivery has shown promising potential in enhancing its bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy. This review comprehensively examines the current state of research on andrographolide transferosome gel as a novel approach for managing inflammatory disorders. It delves into the pharmacological properties of andrographolide, elucidating its anti-inflammatory mechanisms and highlighting its therapeutic potential. The advantages ofandrographolide transferosome gel in enhancing drug permeation, stability, and targeted delivery are thoroughly discussed. Furthermore, it explores the challenges and future prospects of this innovative formulation, emphasizing its potential for clinical translation and commercialization.
