Abstract

FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL ANALGESIC BALM USING EUCALYPTUS OIL

ABSTRACT

Modern life is stressful and full of tension, headaches are one result of that stress. Cosmetics have great demand since ancient time. Now a days, a focus has been shifted more towards derived cosmetic products. The present research is focused on preformulation assessment and development of herbal pain relief balm addressing the growing need for effective topical analgesic solutions. The research delves into the formulation’s key components, including Eucalyptus oil, Peppermint oil, Castor oil and their interactions for formulation. The preformulation study comprises a comprehensive analysis of raw materials, evaluating their compatibility and suitability for the intended application. Various parameters like phytochemical screening, Optical Rotation, Refractive index, Viscosity of oil was determined. The aim of this present work is to formulate and evaluateanalgesic herbal balm using Eucalyptus Oil. The results of the preformulation studies provide valuable insights into the selection of excipients formulation techniques and optimization strategies for developing herbal pain relief balm with better efficacy and enhance stability.
