FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL HAIR OIL

ABSTRACT
The concept of beauty and cosmetic is used in ancient, so they use various beauty products containing herbs to look charming and young. Herbal cosmetics are now a days widely utilized by common people because of their fewer side effects, better safety and security profile. Hair oil are the hair care component that are implemented to hair for the treatment of various disorders such as hair fall, grey hair, dandruff, etc. The objective of present research work is to develop a hair oil for general purpose using various herbal ingredients such as Neem, Bhringraj, Shankhpushpi, Marigold flower, Rose flower, Coconut oil. The research involves the preparation of herbal hair oil through the process of Decoction and was evaluated on various parameters such as organoleptic properties, pH, sensitivity, viscosity, specific gravity, density, chemical parameters like acid value and saponification value, and anti- microbial activity. The result indicates that the formulated herbal oil meets with quality standard, providing a natural and safe option for cosmetic and hair care use.
