FORMULATION, DEVELOPMENT AND COMPARATIVE STUDIES OF HERBAL FACE SCRUB

ABSTRACT
The main objective of the present study was to formulate an herbal face scrub. Cosmetics are the products used for the purposes of cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness or alternating the appearance. Herbal cosmetics contain plant parts which possess antimicrobial, antioxidant, and aging properties these are the safest products to use with fewer side effects. The primary ingredient of this scrub is coffee which has antioxidant properties and is a coarse grain which can be used to remove dirt, skin cells that have died. The scrub also contains nutmeg, masoor dal, corn starch, coconut oil, aloevera and rose water. The prepared face scrub was evaluated for various parameters such as appearance, pH, Spreadability, wash ability, irritability, stability studies and microbial evaluation
