ABSTRACT
The oceans, vast and mysterious, harbor an incredible diversity of life, much of which remains untapped for its medicinal potential. Among these marine organisms lie a treasure trove of novel compounds with promising neuroprotective properties. This manuscript delves into the exploration of marine-derived medicinal agents as potential neuroprotective agents, highlighting their mechanisms of action, therapeutic potential, and challenges in drug development. From marine algae to invertebrates and microorganisms, this review encompasses the breadth of marine biodiversity and its implications for neuroprotection in various neurological disorders.
