ABSTRACT
Mushroom poisoning is a serious health concern that can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. While modern medicine recognizes the dangers of toxic mushrooms, Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine, offers valuable insights into this issue. This article provides an overview of mushroom poisoning from the perspective of Ayurveda, focusing on its classification, identification, and treatment. Recognizing toxic mushrooms is crucial, and Ayurvedic texts provide guidelines for identifying safe varieties based on their characteristics. In the event of mushroom poisoning, Ayurveda emphasizes the use of herbal remedies and therapies to detoxify the body, restore doshik balance, and support recovery. While modern medicine employs different approaches, such as antidotes and supportive care, Ayurveda's holistic approach complements these treatments by addressing the root cause of the imbalance. By integrating Ayurvedic principles into the management of mushroom \poisoning, a comprehensive approach can be adopted to ensure better outcomes for affected individuals. Understanding the risks associated with consuming mushrooms and applying appropriate preventive measures are essential for promoting health and well-being.
