ABSTRACT
In the present study of pharmacy, Co-processed superdisintegrants have emerged as a promising solution to enhance the dissolution rate and bioavailability of poorly water-soluble drugs in pharmaceutical formulations. Co-processed superdisintegrants play a vital role in rapidly disintegrating solid dosage forms, thereby facilitating drug release and improving patient compliance. This overview of co-processed superdisintegrants will be utilised to enhance the performance of tablets by highlighting their formation techniques, manufacturing methods, and applications. However, conventional superdisintegrants often face limitations in terms of their disintegration efficiency, compressibility and flow properties. Developing a product with additional value based on its functionality to price ratio is the main objective of co-processing.
Keywords: Co-processed superdisintegrants; Rapid disintegration, Solvent evaporation method.
