Abstract

A REVIEW ON PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES OF PSEUDARTHRIA VISCIDA (L) WIGHT & ARN

ABSTRACT

Pseudarthria viscida is extensively employed in traditional systems of medicine. In Ayurveda system of Medicine, it is used for its therapeutic effects in the treatment of joint disorders, respiratory ailments, hematological disorders, pancreatic disorders, digestive disorders, skin diseases. The efficacy of the roots is attributed to presence of flavonoids, tannins, proteins and carbohydrates. The pharmacological activities of the roots of Pseudarthria viscida is demonstrated through various experimental studies.
