ABSTRACT
Heavy metal contamination in the water severely affect the nature, causes serious consequences on health when ingesting beyond the permissible limit. There were lot of methods available for removing the heavy metals, Cadmium is one of the heavy metal causes severe health deteriorations on consumption so the cost effective method of cadmium is needed. Adsorption technique is found to be very effective in removal of heavy metals, color, odour from the waste water. In this study, the low cost, effective method of remediation of cadmium metal is performed using sugarcane bagasse and sugarcane bagasses coated with synthetic polymer polyaniline. The effectiveness of both materials was studied and compared by performing adsorption. The result shows the good efficiency of cadmium removal using the biomaterial
