HACKETHAL RETROGRADE CENTROMEDULLARY PINNING IN HUMERAL DIAPHYSIS FRACTURES:IS THERE A RELIABLE WAY, ABOUT 43 CASES

ABSTRACT
The main debate around humerus fractures centers on the therapeutic indications because Any type of orthopedic or surgical stabilization finds sometimes unconditional defenders and vehement. Through this retrospective study, we reviewed 43 patients initially treated By centromedullary fasciculate pinning according to Hackethal in the orthopedic traumatology department2 of the Mohammed v military hospital in Rabat between January 2010 and December 2017. The fractures were classified according to the AO classification and according to the Hackethal classification modified by De La Caffinière. The functional assessment used the Stewart classification and Modified Hundley. The Pinning technique is relatively easy but requires rigorous technique and good operator experience. A rate of 2.5% of pseudarthrosis was observed. Hackethal pinning can be considered as an orthopedic treatmentimproved with a modest cost and significant safety.
