Abstract

CLINICAL PERSPECTIVE OF SHATAVARYADI CHOORNA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF TIMIRA: AN AYURVEDA REVIEW W.S.R. TO MYOPIA

ABSTRACT

Timira is one such disease, which starts from simple visual disturbance but ends in complete loss of vision. It is due to this reason that Acharyas paid special attention to this disease. Myopia is a type of refractive error in which parallel rays of light coming from infinity are focused in front of the retina, when accommodation is at rest. Shatvaryadi Churna, a compound herbal preparation, is recommended for treating various diseases of eyes stated in classical text of ayurveda. The formulation was mentioned in Ayurvedic Yoga Ratnakarfor the management of Timira Vyadhi. Churna was prepared.
