ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE: APPLICATIONS, MERITS AND DEMERITS

ABSTRACT

Artificial intelligence is a machine that developed to make human task easy and smooth. It has applicability in all the field of engineering, science, health system, academic and commerce. Basically, it is a programmed computer that work like a human. In pharmaceuticals, it has played a major role to keep data and its management such as distribution records for medicines, personnel training and hygiene records in manufacturing premises, updation and revision in documents as per various regulatory guidelines. By looking into past, interest in developing AI more useful and powerful tool for research and development, drug discovery, drug design, structure elucidation, manufacturing processes is underway across the globe. In this AI era, I wanted to prepare a comprehensive report which helps every pharmaceutical manufacturer, research and development centres, contract research organisations, academic organisations, students and scholars to understand machine learning, its applications, advantages and disadvantages.
