NIDANAPANCHATMAKA STUDY OF ATISTHAULYA: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT

In ayurveda almost all the Acharyas have discussed about Atisthaulya in their text but Acharya Charak has elaborated this condition in detail. Acharya has discussed about the etiology, symptoms, pathogenesis and Astadosha of this disease. Pathya Apathya has also been discussed here. This article is aim to provide all the details starting from the introduction where there has been mentioned the various reference available in ayurveda text about the disease. Also the causative factor which is most important to know for the prevention (Nidana Parivarjan) and its complication that makes us aware about this disease has also been mentioned.
