ABSTRACT
Psoriasis is an chronic autoimmune disease is typified by aberrant keratinocyte growth, which results in the development of scaly, red skin plaques. The intricate interaction that underlies the development of psoriatic arthritis is influenced by immunological dysregulation, genetic predisposition, and environmental factors. Even while our understanding of the illness has advanced, the existing medicines frequently have drawbacks such systemic side effects and questions about long-term safety. Herbal treatments have garnered interest because to their alleged effectiveness in alleviating symptoms, decreasing inflammation, and enhancing the general health of psoriasis sufferers, frequently with less adverse effects than traditional therapies. The main aim of this review is to summarize the drugs currently used in treating psoriasis and research work done on anti-psoriatic effect of some herbal plants.
