A CRITICAL STUDY ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND ITS APPLICATION IN IMPROVEMENT OF STREE VANDHYATVA

ABSTRACT

Incompetency of women to conceive after one year or more of regular unprotected sexual coitus or to retain fetus till childbirth is called as infertility. Today problem of infertility increased due to change in lifestyle, poor nourishment, accumalation of toxins, lack of coital technique. It affect physical social, emotional, and mental health of women. In our samhita explains that for healthy conception four factor like ritu, kshetra, ambu, bija and matrujadi sath bhavas are required. Yoni pradosha, shukra, asrik, ahara, vihara dosha, akalayoga, balasamkshaya, daivaprokopa are various causes for vandhyatva. Nidana parivarjan and garbhadhana vidhi is only chikitsa for this, ayurveda has a special branch called as vajeekarana for healthy progeny. So with aim of treating stree Vandhyatva is to improve general health of women, by improving digestive power, clear any obstruction or blockage, remove all toxins and impurities, relax
nervous system with satmya ahara vihara, shodhana karma ayurvedic drugs like madhur aushadhi sanskrita pumsavanakarma, jeevaniya, garbhasthapaka drugs, yoga and pranayama should be done to improve the rates of fertility.
