CONSIDERABLE CONTRIBUTION OF AYURVEDA IN MANAGEMENT OF NON COMMUNICABLE DISEASE-CARDIO VASCULAR DISEASE

ABSTRACT
Cardiovascular diseases (Hridrog) come under the heading of non-communicable diseases are a group of diseases of the heart and blood vessels. It becomes the most common health problem and chief cause of death in all over the world. Earlier cardiac diseases were commonly found in old age peoples but now a days it extremely occurs in younger populations also due to change in diet plan, life style, and environmental conditions. However various advance treatment and diagnostic techniques are available in the modern medicine for the patients of hridrog but these techniques are not affordable by every patient and their family. In text of ayurveda, wonderful diet(ahar-vihar) and living pattern (dincharya, ritucharya) as well as use of code of conduct (achar rasyan) and medicinal preparations, Rasayana aredescribed that are very effective in prevention of heart diseases and to cure it.
