Abstract

A CLINICAL CASE STUDY- ROLE OF JAMBUPATRA KWATH GANDUSHA IN THE MANAGMENT OF MUKHAPAKA

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Now a days life style is drastically changed. Due to increased pollution, Fast life style, junk food habit and addictions problems of oral health are arising progressively. Therefore there are increased problems regarding bad oral hygiene. Mukhapaka is a commonest disease of mukha found in India as well as all over the World. In this condition Mukha is affected by paka process which is always associated with pitta dosha. The Lakshanas of Mukhapaka can be correlated to a clinical entity “Apthous Ulcer” (recurrent ulcerative stomatitis) explained in the contemporary medical science, which is also characterized by painful superficial ulcers in the movable mucosa of the mouth with recurrent episodes.[1] On the basis of sign and symptoms as mentioned in Sushruta Samhita it can be correlated with stomatitis. According to Acharya Vagbhatta gandusha is one of the
treatment of mukhapaka thus Jambupatra kwath gandusha is selected for present study. Aim: To study the role of Jambupatra kwath gandusha in the management of Mukhapaka. Objectives: To study the role of Jambupatra kwath gandusha to reduce the symptoms of mukhapaka. Material and Method: A single clinical trial of Jambupatra kwath gandusha for 15 days. Conclusion: Jambupatra kwath gandusha gives significant relief in Mukhapaka.
