Herbal shampoo is a type of cosmetic preparation that uses ancient ayurvedic herbs to cleanse the hair and scalp in a similar manner to conventional synthetic shampoo. Plant extracts are used to create poly herbal shampoo by evaluating their physiochemical activities and antifungal properties, emphasising safety and efficacy, and removing unfavourable synthetic chemicals and replacing them with natural, safe alternatives. Dandruff is by far the most prevalent hair issue. Germs are responsible for dandruff. Since fungus thrives at pH values between 3.8 and 5.6, alkaloids have the ability to prevent the growth of fungi. It is possible for flavonoids and tannins to harm proteins in cell membranes, altering their permeability and leading to fungal cell membrane lysis. The fungus cells are broken down by saponins. It is challenging to create a shampoo that is solely made of natural ingredients like Lodhra, Mint, Eucalyptus, Almond, Basil, Soap nut, Tea tree oil, Fenugreek, Aloe vera, Henna, Lemon grass oil, Tulasi, Brahmi, Shikakai, Curry leaves, Amla, Rose, Haritaki, Orange, Hibiscus, Neem, Bhringraj, Bhimbetka, Onion are used to promote hair growth, prevent dandruff and hair fall.
