FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF ORAL PHARMACEUTICAL SOLUTION OF PANDANUS ODORATISSIMUS L EXTRACT HERBAL PRODUCT IN TREATMENT OF NOCTURNAL ENURESIS

ABSTRACT

The study was carried out to formulate and evaluate the treatment of Nocturnal Enuresis of extract of extract oral pharmaceutical solution formulation containing Peduncle extract of Pandanus Odoratissimus L herbal syrup. We evaluated the final herbal syrup by tested of stability at different temperature, pH value, physical properties, identification. The herbal syrup has palatable taste and showed good stability. So, we concluded that liquids were suitable dosage form for Peduncle extract of Pandanus Odoratissimus L in treatment of Nocturnal Enuresis. A total of six formulations of extract oral pharmaceutical solutions were prepared by using different excipients. Among the all formulations F6 formulation syrup was found to be the best formulation which contain extract of Pandanus Odoratissimus L, simple syrup, honey, aspartame and orange flavour compared to the other formulations and satisfied the criteria showed good elegance, palatability and good stability on storage at different temperature. It can be concluded that the extract oral pharmaceutical solution as drug delivery system for children and young people are effective in treatment of Nocturnal Enuresis.
