AN ABBREVIATED DISCUSSION ON NUTRACEUTICALS: BRIEF REVIEW

ABSTRACT
Nutraceuticals are foods or components of foods that have medical or health advantages, such as the capacity to cure and prevent illness. Nutraceuticals may also be referred to as functional foods. In a more general sense, they are all-natural substances, and among them are several herbs that are both considered to be foods and used as dietary supplements. Nutraceuticals derived from plants have attracted a lot of interest due to the fact that they are remorid to be safe and to provide a broad variety of nutritional and therapeutic advantages. They are usually recognized as a powerful instrument that combats acute and chronic illnesses caused by poor nutrition, hence promoting health and a long life. This is because inadequate nutrition may cause both acute and chronic illnesses. Popular plant-derived (herbal) nutraceuticals include Curcumin, which comes from turmeric; glucosamine, which comes from ginseng; and omega-3 fatty acids, which come from linseed.
