The total cost of back pain around the world is estimated to represent billions of dollar annually due to indirect cost representing a large portion (75% to 93%) of the total cost of back pain. The indirect cost reflects productivity loss and absenteeism. Back pain also significantly limits daily activity imposing functional limitations. Materials and Methods: This was a cross sectional study conductedduring October 2023 to December 2023. Face to face interview was conduced using a self-designed questionnaire, NRS-11 and RMDQ-24 questionnaire. Results: A total of 267 participants were recruited having LBP where, most of them had point prevalence 32%.The study shows significant difference between job profile and the prevalence of LBP, most probable in farmers (33%), prolonged standing workers (38%) and construction workers (47%). Conclusion: LBP is highly prevalent in India, adversely affecting the day to day life of participants.
