PRECONCEPTIONAL CARE – AN AYURVEDIC APPROACH

ABSTRACT

Woman have been placed on an extreme worshipping place due to their power of JANANI (Procreation). Acharya Manu has stated that for happiness of human society proper care of respect should be given to woman. Ayurveda takes care all aspects of human well being which starts even before the birth of individual. That is the reason Ayurveda gives utmost importance to preconceptional care, which includes preparing the couple physically, psychologically & spiritually for a healthy progeny.
