MANAGEMENT OF VISUCHIKA WITH AGNIKARMA- A CASE STUDY.

ABSTRACT
Patient suffering from Visuchika may present with symptoms like pricking pain at anal region with frequent loose stools, General weakness, thirst, headache, nausea. Treatment for Visuchika includes Langhana (fasting), Analgesia (Shoolaghna Aushdhi Sevan) and in severe form of disease Parshnidahan i.e. Agnikarma at heel region. Agnikarma is one of the para- surgical procedure described by Acharya Sushruta. Acharya also explained Agnikarma as Anushastra. In this case patient was effectively treated with Agnikarma over bilateral heel region i.e. Parshnidahan with mruttika shalaka for three consecutive days. Patient got relief for the symptoms of pain at anal region, loose stools, general weakness, headache, thirst and nausea.
