ABSTRACT
Wheat (Triticum aestivum Linn) buds. (Hindi name - gehun, kanak; Sanskrit name - godhuma) known as wheatgrass, belongs to the family Poaceae and is high in chlorophyll and contains essential vitamins, minerals, important enzymes and amino acids. Since ancient times, herbs and medicinal plants have been the most important systems of traditional medicine and naturopathy. In addition, it contains important vitamins such as carotene, vitamin A, B complex, vitamins E, C and K, as well as minerals such as iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, copper, sodium, sulfur, boron, Molybdenum and iodine. Such a therapeutic system supports the fact that the treatment of any disease is aimed at eliminating the causes of the disease through the rational use of elements freely available in nature. It is essentially a healing and rejuvenating mechanism. Wheatgrass is one of the herbs considered to have miraculous healing properties.
