PALASHAPUSHPA DARBHAMULA CHURNA IN RAKTA PRADARA (DYSFUNCTIONAL UTERINE BLEEDING) –CASE REPORTS

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Rakta Pradara is a condition where there is excessive or prolonged bleeding or even scanty blood loss during intermenstrual period. Its symptoms can be related to Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding which is a state of abnormal bleeding without any clinically detectable organic, systemic or iatrogenic causes. Palashapushpa Darbhamula Churna mentioned in Rasatantra Sara evam Siddha Prayoga Sangraha was administered in a dose of 5gms bd with water from 4th day of menstruation till cessation of menses or to a upperlimit of 10 days, among 30 subjects with Rakta Pradara (DUB), for a period of 2 months with a follow up of 1 month. Aim and Objectives: Aim- To elicit the clinical efficacy of Palashapushpa Darbhamula Churna in Rakta Pradara (DUB). Objectives- To evaluate the efficacy of Palashapushpa Darbhamula Churna in amount of bleeding, duration of bleeding and interval of cycle. Result: Based on the observation Palashapushpa Darbhamula Churna showed statistically significant effect in management of Rakta Pradara. Conclusion: Palashapushpa Darbhamula Churna 5gms twice a day for two consecutive menstrual cycles is effective in the management of Rakta Pradara (DUB).
