ABSTRACT
The extracts of the plant Petroselinum crispum shows the anthelmintic effect and In-vitro anthelmintic activity was studied by Pheritima posthuma model by taking albendazole as standard. The plants were also tested for its anti-oxidant properties by DPPH and nitric oxide assay. In DPPH assay the ethanol extract showed a maximal inhibitory concentration of 64.32% at 1000 μg/ml and aqueous extract showed 60.46% at 1000 μg/ml. In nitric oxide assay the ethanol and aqueous extracts showed 68.45% and 65.42% at 1000 μg/ml. Further, the phytoconstituents reported in the P.crispum were docked against the tubulin target by in-silico docking studies. It was found that only albendazole and myrtenal showed interaction with the target protein.
