FORMULATION AND ASSESSMENT OF A POLYHERBAL SUNSCREEN LOTION

ABSTRACT

The objective of present study work was to develop herbal suncreen lotion containing skin friendly ingredients like chrysanthemum, aloe vera, almond oil, turmeric, etc. The use of sunscreen lotion has gradually increased over the years as people have become more aware of the harmful effects of UV radiation. The topical application of suncreen lotion is worldwide recognized as the best strategy to avoid sunburn and skin damage. Sunscreen lotion is made by using various plant extracts.. Testing is done using evaluation criteria including pH, spreadability, and feel. The prepared sunscreen lotion has a high SPF rating, good homogeneity, consistency, and appearance, and no signs of phase separation. The use of lotion on the skin is likewise harmless.
